Watercolors by Rose Sloan
I finally get to paint!
My art career began at the University of Utah. I graduated in 1962 with a degree in Art Education. I married my husband, Tim Sloan, also an artist, went to the Peace Corps and spent two years in Ecuador. Upon returning to the U.S., we moved to California. I stayed home to raise our two children and when they were in their teens, I completed a teaching degree for California. My art work was put aside for many years. Art has been a life-long interest, it has only been since I retired from teaching in 2001, that I have been able to dedicate myself to painting full time. My specific interests in art are plein air, still life and painting the figure. I also love teaching art to adult students.
